Housetraining is one of the first big milestones for any new puppy owner, and consistency is the key to success. Take your puppy outside first thing in the morning, after meals, after naps, and right before bedtime.
Choose a specific spot in the yard and use the same cue word every time, then reward your puppy immediately with praise or a treat when they go in the right place. Accidents will happen, especially in the first few weeks, so clean them up without scolding your puppy.
With patience and a consistent routine, most puppies get the hang of housetraining within a few weeks of coming home.
